MLM prospecting can be a very daunting thought to many people when they are wanting to get more distributors into their organization, it often conjures up an image of a guy sitting in his home office on the telephone looking extremely fed up and frustrated after a long day of making cold calls to so called prospects and literally begging them to join his business Not a pretty picture!

But is there an alternative?

There is for sure. Some of the top producers are now using the internet to generate and prospect their leads. The internet is an excellent tool to use to create laser targeted leads.

1) A web page that will act as a lead capture page, this is where your potential prospect can enter their name and email address. It’s important then to get as many folks as possible to visit your page, you will need to have visitors for the market that you are targeting and your page needs to offer solutions to the problems that they face. As an example I have created my capture page so it directly targets those who are looking for more success in their MLM business and wish to leverage the internet to create massive downlines. There I have a qualified lead coming into my system on auto pilot!.

2) After coming into the system we can then commence the following up with our lead. When using an online mlm prospecting system this can be made a lot easier through the use of email. By using an email autoresponder (I would recommend Aweber) you can write all of your follow up emails and set the specific times of when those emails will be sent out. You then have the opportunity to really give your subscribers some valuable information and to position yourself as a leader and an expert, this is a proven effective strategy Not everyone will want to do this or indeed have the time, but I like to get on the phone with my new prospect to help the relationship building process.

3) You need to keep delivering great information and valuable training to your subscribers through your emails. A good system will do all this for you, plus you will have your own value packed training website. Once you are giving out some great information people will actually look out for your emails because they know that they are going to get some very useful information from you.

4) When you think it appropriate you should consider giving your list the opportunity to purchase a product. Make sure that the product is worthy of your recommendation, you don’t want to be selling poor quality products, it will seriously degrade your reputation. Someone that has been giving pure value to their list is going to get a much better response when they come to sell something.

5) Over time your system will gradually increase your prospects exposure to your primary opportunity. By making use of videos, audios and live webinar presentations you can show your prospects your business Don’t hammer them with your opportunity but be sparing, but I can assure you many more folks will actually take the time to look at what you are recommending if you have been offering value to them previously.

By providing great training you soon become an authority figure in the industry to your lead! This is positioning you as a great leader and putting you in a position for far greater success. It’s always the case that people join a business because they have come to like and trust their potential sponsor, people join people. Already the internet is swamped with replicated company websites and everyone expecting that if they just send people to them they will get loads of signups, the reality is that you would be lucky to get any at all!
